War Poem | Short Film
WAR POEM is a live-action, narrative short based on a poem of the same name. The story follows a brother and his wounded sister as they escape their city of ruin in search of a place of peace. Marked by the force of blood and unrest, the implicit backdrop of this drama is inspired by images from the refugee crisis. WAR POEM is one of 12 films that comprise Season 8 of Motionpoems, a Minneapolis-based non-profit that pairs poets with filmmakers. Each year a series of short films is released, all of which are set to poetry.
