About
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Even as a kid, I had a natural eye for composition, capturing family portraits with my dad’s 35mm camera. My passion deepened in junior high when I discovered black-and-white film photography and the darkroom process. I spent hours studying photography textbooks, drawing inspiration from masters like Harry Callahan’s use of light and Henri Cartier-Bresson’s “Decisive Moment.” Though I initially pursued a degree in civil-environmental engineering, I quickly realized my true calling was photography. I transitioned to Arizona State University’s photography program before attempting to further my education at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, one of the top photography schools in the country at the time. After financial constraints brought me back to Arizona, I completed my bachelor’s in Graphic Information Technology with a focus on commercial photography and web design at ASU Polytechnic.
